Description

IL‐21 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by activated T follicular helper cells (Tfh), Th17 cells, and NKT cells. IL-21 acts via both autocrine and paracrine pathways to regulate several aspects of T and B cell activation, maturation, and differentiation. IL-21 mediates its biological effects through a heterodimeric receptor complex of gamma c and the IL-21-specific IL-21R. Recombinant Rat IL‐21 is a 15.3 kDa protein containing 130 amino acid residues.
