Description

IL-36 beta, also known as IL-1F8, is a member of the IL-1 family of cytokines and binds to the IL-1R6 (IL-1Rrp2) receptor. It is reported to be expressed by resting and activated monocytes and B cells and at low levels in various tissues. It is highly expressed in psoriatic plaques. IL-36 beta displays pro-inflammatory effects and, like other IL-36 cytokines, can activate NF-kB and MAPK signaling pathways.
